Belgian author and digital artist

version francaise

Manga and video games shaped my childhood. Later came electronic music and the early online forums. I grew up alongside the rise of the Internet. I made it my profession, which allowed me to leave my native Belgium and get lost in the cultural capitals of the world.

Reality, offscreen, was messier than TV shows, with technology struggling to conceal the anxieties and buried desires of our times. Moving images and virtual reality became tools for me to explore unknown territories. Their ‘superflat’ aesthetic, to borrow Takashi Murakami’s term, is disrupted by computer glitches, electric cables, and found objects.

My books trace my digressions. In Humans and Their Errors, I delve into ontological errors and their metaphysical implications, while in Digressive Society, I explore the plurality of value systems in culture, economics, and politics. Both collections are continuously revised and updated with new texts and illustrations.

Now based in Paris, I meditate. The great contradictions. The ordinary things. The system errors. The half-awake dreams. And so on.

Mes livres retracent mes digressions.
