Can Technology Fix the Art World?

The contemporary art world is broken. In the US, a full three quarters of artists make $10,000 or less per year from their art; while a very few numbers enjoy tremendous commercial success (500 high-performance artists generated $1.68 billion, or 89% of global turnover in 2019).

Non-fungible tokens (NFT) is a blockchain technology that allows direct and certified art transactions without the need of the middleman. It has the potential to disrupt the art market and redistribute power. But will it benefit most artists or just a few ?

Join our multidisciplinary roundtable to discuss this topic and brainstorm ideas on how to make NFT a technology for good.

We will be using the digressive approach: a strategic thinking framework designed to help us literally make a difference, develop unique ideas and create bold visions: https://bruchansky.name/digressive-approach/.
